update: October 1, 2019

The Pastor Search Committee wants to make sure we communicate regularly with the church and gives updates. At this time we have little to communicate expect that we continue to meet regularly and that we are trusting in God's timing. We ask that you continue to pray for the committee as we seek God's wisdom in making the decision of recommending Edgewood's next Senior Pastor.

From your Pastor Search Team

Your Pastor Search Committee continues to meet regularly, working through the process and praying. We will accept resumes through September 1. At that time we will begin reviewing the resumes. We appreciate the church's participation in the time of fasting and praying for the pastor search process. We ask that you continue to pray for the committee and for the man God has as the next pastor of our church.

From your Pastor Search Committee:

First, thank you for your prayers and support.  We feel it and need it! The committee is dedicated to bathing this process in prayer as we seek the man God has selected for our church and we ask you to continue your prayer efforts.

The committee is currently in the organizational and planning stage. Mark Strickland will serve as Pastor Search Committee (PSC) Chair, Bryan Morris as Vice Chair, Sean Finley as Prayer Chairman and Jan Ausenbaugh as Point of Contact.

We ask that you be patient with us through this process and we’ll share important updates with you as the process develops. We’re meeting regularly to work towards the completion of the task ahead of us.

During the week of July 15th-21st we are asking the congregation to engage in a time of  prayer and fasting for our church and this search process. Additional information will be provided in the bulletin, through email and text announcements. You can also find the details for the fast under Prayer in the Pastor Search Information section on the church website.

Here are some specific ways you can pray for us and the church as we travel this journey together.

  • Patience for the committee.
  • The committee will serve with the mind of Christ and work in unity.
  • The committee has wisdom and discernment in choosing the correct person.
  • The committee and other church leaders will continue to move forward as God leads.
